Shell Sell Prices

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, just like in all other Animal Crossing games, shells are an easy source of Bells that wash up on the beach, mostly in the mornings and evenings.

Simply walk down the beach and pick them up. No tools are needed except for the manilla clams found underground in the sand: dig them up with a shovel.

Shells sales price at Nook's Cranny varies from 20 to 1200 Bells, so make sure to remember which are worth grabbing by checking the price guide table below.

Tips and tricks

  • Shells, unlike fish, bugs or fossils, can't be donated to the museum.
  • Hermit crabs (categorized as a bug) hide on the beach inside empty shells, mainly at night. Catch them with a net before they run away!
